Talented WCBA Youth members Stephanie George and Anthony Carbonell are currently bowling at the 2012 National Youth Cup and Team Challenge in Melbourne Australia. They are representing NZ. Update: A big Well done to Anthony for coming second in the Youth Cup Masters event. An impressive result being NZ’s best ever at this tournament. Happy New Year and Meeting updates »

Happy New Year to all our members. Just a quick update to let you know that there was no meetings held at the end of 2011, due to most of our committee being away for tournaments. Our next meeting is being held on Sunday 15th Jan at 13 Amesbury Drive Churton Park at Midday. We did however submit our Wellington Rep Team weightings and calculations to TBNZ and are currently working and awaiting final sign off. This also includes confirmation on if our 3rd team is required now that regions teams are starting to confirm there attendance to the TBNZ tournament director. More updates to come.

National Bowling Tour Finals News »

Well done to all the National Bowling Tour Finalists. This year had many WCBA members making the finals in all divisions. Special Mention to Germz Ubue who won the Seniors Champion title and also came 3rd in the finals. Brooke Malone came 2nd in the Ladies division, and Alex Harman came 2nd in the Junior Division. Bowling in the semi finals with the winners included (ladies division) Kelly Wilson and Dairne Kaimoana, (Seniors Division) Allan Heald and Wayne Booth, (Youth Division) Jordan Tuite and (Junior Division) Kieran Davis. Seniors in Guam »

There were several Wellington bowlers in the team representing New Zealand at the 11th Asian Seniors Bowling Championships in Guam

In the Singles Roger Tucker came third, beating Terry Mustchin in fourth by just 2 pins
Wayne Booth finished in 20th place

In the Doubles Roger Tucker and Terry Mustchin came fourth
Wayne Booth and Fred Housham finished in 21st place

In the Teams Roger Tucker , Wayne Booth , Fred Housham and Terry Mustchin came seventh
Allan Heald , Chris Harris, John Bloomfield and John Van Der Linden finished in 10th place

The strong performances from Roger Tucker has placed him second in the All Events

Waiting now for the results from the Masters Event

Well Done to Chris Haynes for Bowling an 800 Series at the National Bowling Tour at Lower Hutt on the 5th of November and Nathan Berry for bowling his 3rd 300 game at Bowlarama Newtown last night on the 9th November.

It’s been a busy few months bowling wise. Don’t forget to like us on facebook to see more announcements and photos from our members. WCBA members have been achieving excellent results in the following tournaments recently. The Walter Rachuig Trophy Sydney, Senior Team Challenge Sydney, Strike Champs Porirua/Hutt, National Bowling Panmure, Special Olympic Athletes Tournament Lower Hutt, National Bowling Tour Lower Hutt. Congratulations to all our members that have achieved outstanding results, trophies, medals and ribbons at these events.
