Committee Meetings

We welcome our new committee at our first meeting. This will be held at 13 Amesbury Drive Churton Park at 2pm on Sunday the 15th April. All WCBA members are welcome to attend our meetings. If you are attending please bring a small plate for afternoon tea.

WCBAs annual general meeting was held on Sunday 11 March 2012, 1pm at Strike Porirua.

Well done to our 3 teams who represented the Wellington Region this weekend at the National team Championships. Well done to Wellington South 2nd over all Champions, 3rd in the Ladies and 2nd in the mens, and Wellington Kapiti Mana 3rd Overall Champions, and 2nd in the ladies. Team Wellington also did well with a 6th placing. Special congrats to Kelly Wilson (3rd place) and Ellen Slater (5th Place) in the All Stars top 5. Well done ladies this is a great Achievement!!! Well done to Janet Miklos and Kevin Foubister for winning the sports man and lady award for this event. (as voted by the players) Greg Nicolas was granted a 100 games at a NTC award by TBNZ. Well done Greg! A big thanks to our WCBA appointed Coaches and Managers for all the work you have put into the teams over the last 6 months. Lastly a big thank you to Infinity Foundation for assisting in the funding for team entry fees and to Pub Charity for part funding the uniforms for this event.

We want to wish all our Wellington Teams the very best at this weekends National Team Champs at Stirke Porirua. If any of our WCBA members are free to come down and offer cheering and support over the weekend it would be much appreciated. Bowling starts at 8am and concludes around 5.30 on Friday Sat and Sunday of Easter. Cheering support after lunch is always helpful. Dont be shy come down and join in the fun of this tournament.

The WCBA process for the team to represent Wellington (new team name as requested by TBNZ) at the 2012 NTC is complete. The mens team in alphabetical order is Delfin De Guzman, Geman Ebue (Coach), John Miklos, Jordan Tuite, Kevin Foubister, and Yoyo Muljono. The ladies team in alphabetical order is Aleisha Cunningham (Manager) Dolly McLean, Janet Miklos, Julie Knight, Lyra Manalo and Mikayla Bevan.
