On 29 March 2012 the TBNZ Board received a submission from 56 TBNZ members who currently compete within the boundaries of the Wellington City Council requesting permission to form their own TBNZ affiliated club ( Wellington Tenpin Bowling Club in Newtown) which would represent the Wellington City Council region. The content of the submission was discussed at the TBNZ Board meeting held on 14 April 2012. The TBNZ Board considered the following aspects when reviewing the submission: ·The points raised in the submission;·The TBNZ Constitution; and·The overwhelming support from TBNZ members in the Wellington City Council region to have their own incorporated society affiliated to TBNZ. After much discussion the Board has agreed in principal to accept an affiliation application to TBNZ from an incorporated society based within the Wellington City Council boundaries subject to the application meeting the requirements set out in the TBNZ Constitution to become affiliated to TBNZ.
